The heat was unbearable so I decided to go to the beach. When I got to the beach I jumped in the water.I was swimming for ages until the shark alarm went off. I did not care, I kept on swimming. Then it happened I felt pain in my right arm and there it was a big fat shark holding on to my arm.I quickly called for help.Life guards came to help me.But it was too late my arm was gone.Nurses told me I would not survive. But here I am today alive and happy.

Week #27 (22) - Maddie

This is amazing, the grand snail race! I am actually here, watching it with my own eyes. My snail, Timothy, will win. Timothy is the fastest snail on my street. The two workers were having to hold the snails back - well mainly Timothy! The race was beginning, I was on the edge of my seat. The snails were away. Timothy was in front. Noone could pass speedy Timothy; he was ahead by 3 whole snails! But suddenly snails were passing Timothy. What has happened to Timothy? He was slow! When he finished he got the prize for the slowest snail!

Week #27 (22) - Willie

“I found a snail shell for us to eat!” Yelled Bob.  We ate the shell, we were full after that. Bob went to sleep and Nick used the leaf as a glider. We were so bored after that so we just made weird structures with the leaf, then we went gliding again. We were so hot after all of that, so we used the leaf as a fan. It cooled us down so much that we were freezing! So we went to sleep because we were exhausted in our small book house we used the leaf as a second blanket

Week #24 (22) - Claire

As soon as I stepped into the forest I realised something just wasn't right. It was the middle of summer and all the trees leaves were gone.Very strange.I trudged through the dry leaves wondering why all the leaves hadn’t grown back on the trees.Suddenly I tripped and fell inside a hole ‘’ahhh!’’ I screamed  I woke up to the taste of blood in my mouth that's when I remembered that I was stuck inside that hole I looked around for something to get out with I found two sticks and managed to scramble out of the hole.

Week #24 (22) - Shaiza

As I walked through the forest, winter's day covered the mountains plain white. As it got darker it had gone colder. (CRACK!) I turned around but there was no one, thinking in my mind that it was just a rabbit. The trees wooshed through the air. I heard a rustle behind one mysterious tree. Then out of nowhere a man jumped out behind the tree covered in moss like he had been standing there for years. I ran as fast as I could back home. But it was too late, because it was too dark to see my way back.\

Week #24 (22) - Zack

I was watching TV until I heard the doorbell. It was my friends Bob and Henry and they said that we were going to the forest. We were riding on our scooters and we were now in the forest. I was thinking that this was a bad idea but they didn’t care, we saw trees, birds, and bugs. We were walking until we saw a big tree. We decided to kick it but we saw big furry hands on it, we were so scared and it was Bighand! I mean Bigfoot! We ran away very fast and we lost him.

Week #24 (22) - Noah

There was once a little boy walking through thick branches in the deep woods but he never would have expected the surprise waiting for him. At the end he walked farther and farther from public activity with the snow falling down giving me shivers. I slowly walked deep as you are supposed to go, but he dared to keep on going to see the tree man. Then a tree fell down and nearly broke his skull. And there it was, the legendary tree man hiding behind a tree. I ran back to public activity, I got home safe and alive.

Week #24 (22) - Ronna

The both horrifying ,and amazing sight sent shivers down my spine  . Before my eyes behold a Yeti’s dirt brown , hairy arms stiffly grasping onto the old , dated, wrinkly tree. I could hear his nervous breathing, I was confused. Why was he scared? I said a gentle hello. I could see his beautiful long eyelashes but I was mistaken it was a she! I comforted her and asked why she was hiding. I was astounded once  more, her voice was quite high . We slowly became friends  and then she explained how people would run  when all she wanted was a friend .

Week #24 (22) - Delilah

The snow crunched under my feet. I looked around franticly. I was hoping to see a warm home with a fire lit and the scent of baking floating out into the wood. But instead I saw snow, frost and more snow. I Shivered.  Leaning against a thick tree, I tried to think warm thoughts. But before I could, I felt something fuzzy. With my heart thumping I slowly turned around. I then screamed so loud the birds on the tree tops flew away. There I saw two hairy arms wrapped around the trunk of the tree. And then I fainted…

Week #24 (22) - Willie

A roar! Came from the mysterious forest. A few kids went to check it out, they heard weird and unknown sounds. There was a loud thump! Came from every side, left and right. Everyone was scared, one of the kids spotted brown hairy arms clinged onto the wrinkly tree. The kids SCREAMED!! When all the other kids went to look, the mysterious creature disappeared. The whole group were confused, the kid who saw the mysterious creature explained but the rest of the group were in disbelief. All the kids went back home hoping they would see the creature once again.

Week #24 (22) - Maddie

Crunching noises fill my ears, not knowing what that noise was. People have been saying Bigfoot owns the land. That’s why I am here… to find Bigfoot. No one has seen Bigfoot before. But I will be the first ever to really see this beautiful creature. Walking alone in the deep dark forest not knowing what could come and get me. By the time the sun was setting I had lost hope, I  was on my way back to the camper when that noise filled my ear again. I  ran! I saw Bigfoot eating moss. Finally, it runs away forever.

Week #23 (2) - Carter

Splash!  ‘So you are positive you saw a glimpse of the white octopus? I asked.   ‘Sure, I'm sure, hurry up, ' said the Captain. As I dive lower, it  got  much darker in the Mariana  Trench.   The white octopus was   a   myth, until now!  “Ok. We’re here.”  I sprung out of the submarine.  THERE IT WAS! The white Octopus - the myth!  They are said to be 1000 feet long. It was 1000 feet long!!  All we need to do now is to take a photo. SPLOOGE! It shot piano black ink at me!  I wiped it off and snapped my photo.

Week #23 (2) - Delilah

What an odd ocean. Never in my career as an explorer have I seen something more ridiculous. First, a piano playing white whale, then, a blue seahorse, and finally a springing octopus! Oh My! I have been to a lot of weird places but this ocean is unbelievable. As a school of fish wearing top hats swam by, a gentle looking shark waved a fin at me. Good Gracious! Whatever happened to bloodthirsty Great whitet sharks??? Do you see what I mean about this crazy ocean? Never, I repeat, never come here in your life! Life here is super crazy!

Week #23 (2) - Sean

“Ow!” said the octopus. “I have a toothache!” Suddenly a pirate ship was heading towards the octopus and his family. There was a man on the ship, supposably a pirate. He had a greyish white cloak, dark blue jeans and a hat with a skull on it. Yep. Definitely a ‘gentle’ pirate. “Ah oy there, All hand hoy!” “...” said the silenced octopus. “Get on board! What are you doing!” The octopus said “I-I-I can’t. I live in the water” “You blue bobblehead! Scram!” The pirate got so mad that he was springing up and down and even smashed his own piano!

Week #23 (2) - George

As I was exploring the deep blue sea in my  submarine, I saw a big gentle white octopus. The gang and I were terrified even though we were in the submarine. We thought it was going to eat us because it was quickly springing up and down. But then we realised it was just protecting its babies. Five minutes after we left the octopus we heard a big banging noise. So we decided to go back to the big octopus to see what was wrong. The funny thing was the big banging noise was just the octopus playing a piano.

Week #23 (2) - Noah

I walked through a huge door and then I was in the biggest mansion in the world! As I walked further into the amazing house covered with very nice technology and very modern and antique stuff like an old clock from back in time and an old piano they even had an octopus tank! And a white dog!!? This house was worth billions of dollars and had a bunny springing around the room. The people said to be gentle with everything and we went out the back door and we  exited the extraordinary house. I was amazed at the end!

Week #23 (2) - Fraser

Down in the dork, deep, blue sea was an eight legged and very gentle octopus with bulging white eyes. Surprisingly, he had a humongous trampoline. He was springing up and down like a very excited frog. Then I saw a piano deep down in his cave. I saw him start tenderly playing the keys like a natural. I was surprised to see this extraordinary thing! It must be a miracle. I said to my friends that we must be nuts but it was amazing what I was seeing. I had to take a photo to share with the whole world.

Week #23 (2) - Emma-Jane

I was springing on the wharf and I got ready to jump. As I dived down into the smooth gentle water and its splash, I went down to the bottom of the ocean. I saw a pink  smooth octopus splash and play, then in a nick of time he was gone.  Then I found this cave. Then I saw what was the big octopus again. I also saw mermaids and a smooth white piano and the octopus was looking at the piano. He came up and played to me. It was an amazing day and now I visit every weekend.

Week #23 (2) - Maddie

The gentle ocean sea was rushing at my feet. The sun was setting in the horizon. Today was the day that the majestic white octopus was expected to play the piano. He plays every 100 years. I  was going to be one in a million to see this amazing animal. While I was waiting, I watched a flower springing. This flower was beautiful. I waited for the octopus. He was very late. I was starting to lose hope, then it happened. This was the most beautiful thing! One day this may happen for someone else, a very lucky person like me.
