Week #31 - Kiko

It was a stormy night. Lightning was flashing everywhere and rain was pouring everywhere. I couldn’t sleep. Out my window, I saw a flash of an old, twisted, dead tree in a clearing. I was curious enough to sneak out of my rank bedroom, and visit the mysterious tree. I didn't care about the bright lightning and the falling rain. I climbed up the dead tree, with no regard for my health and safety. Thunder boomed, which shocked me enough to fall off the unsafe tree. I woke up in a puddle of mud, with no memory of the tree.

Week #31 - Venice

Legends say that if you go to the haunted meadows at midnight, there will be some sort of thick fog that turns you into dust! About  twenty years ago, a famous explorer decided to do a livestream about him going there. The thick, ghostly fog swirled around his feet as he walked along the meadow. Suddenly there was a blood-curdling cry as the camera fell to the ground. Two days ago, my cousin went there. Like every other person who stepped foot there, she transformed into pieces of dust. And me? I’m the girl watching on that spooky, bare tree.

Week #31 - Roaness

One day I was walking to get these ANZAC biscuits and Easter eggs for my Uncle and Aunty, but there was a fire bush where the long path was. The creepy shortcut path wasn’t blocked or had bush fire so I had to go on the scary, creepy shortcut path. When I was 2 km away from home I heard screaming and a dangerous howl from my right side. I was scared so I went to the other side and went home. I got myself to bed and went to get a cup of Milo and then went to sleep.

Week #31 - Tineke

The clouds surround the sun making only sparks of light. It was dark and shadows surrounded the area making me feel like I was in the middle of nowhere. I was walking home  from the shadows. When I heard footsteps coming up behind me. I slowly turned around feeling my tummy swirling inside but it was just a bunny. As soon as I had gotten over the bunny I ran with the wind feeling my hair blowing crazy behind me. When I reached home I put on my pajamas. I dreamed of what I had done tonight. It was amazing!!

Week #31 - Dave

I was inside asleep. I was awoken when my dad came in and said he saw a beautiful sight outside. My mom went outside too, she said wow come kids! My mom, dad and my older sister started to take selfies. My other sister took a selfie too. My dad said this could be a family picture, ok we all said. But all of us were in our pajamas. My mom and dad were the only stylish ones in the picture! When we finished taking our photo, we all sat and watched the sun go very low in the sky.

Week #31 - Kayleigh

One day I was camping in South Australia.  I looked outside and this tree started to fall over from the wind!  It suddenly stopped right in front of the moon.  It looked so beautiful I just had to take a photo of it.  I took a couple of photos, so I decided to print some of them off.  Once they had come out of the printer I glued them in my album of cool photos.  I also saw some other pictures that I had taken in the same place as I am now!  They all looked so beautiful as well.

Week #31 - Noah

Whoosh! Something passed my shoulder at a terrific speed, I looked around terrified… nothing.  Whoosh! I turned around quickly just in time to see something go up our leafless tree. I thought I wanted to go back inside but also wanted to find out what it was. All of a sudden a branch of the tree snapped because of the weight.  I looked down and saw beady eyes, scruffy fur and stripy tails. A bunch of raccoons emerged from the darkness which was a huge relief. The tree was so old that the weight of the raccoons was too much.

Week #31 - Venus

The full moon rose slowly as Halloween night began. As the sky turned shades of purple, fog started to form, skeletons danced away, zombies rose from the ground and witches laughed in the purple sky. The scene took place on a Halloween night around a crooked tree. This tree wasn't just any ordinary tree. It was the great Halloween tree! Every Halloween night, life formed around it. As the sun slowly rose into the sky the scary figures shook in fear. "Run!” shrieked the witches. “Flee” moaned the zombies! “Hide!” shouted the skeletons! That was the end of Halloween night.

Week #31 - Nixie

I was taking some cool photos. Suddenly I saw a perfect spot but it was dangerous to get to it. I had to climb up a mountain just to get to it. I was really scared but I did it anyway. As I was hiking I saw some more hikers, but they were up ahead so I decided to catch up to them, so I did. As we were talking I saw someone almost fall off. I ran to her and helped her up. Then I noticed that I was there and I took the photo happily. That was fun.

Week #31 - Sophia

The Whomping Willow is not a tree that you may like. Some people hate it and most fear it. Do you want to know why people feel these emotions? Then let me tell you. The Whomping Willow does not like being touched, if you dared touch one of its thorny branches, it will grab you and swing you around. It can spin around which makes it even more dangerous. The Whomping Willow has a big hole at the bottom of its trunk. Some people think the tree puts humans in there as punishment but it’s only a myth. ‘Now, AAAAHHHHH’

Week #31 - Alex

The cold breeze was in my face as I watched the amazing sun rise. How beautiful and what a good spot to see the sun rise. But who would have thought that Australia had such cold breezes. The sun behind the tree is awesome. I wish we could get that in Brazil. I came here to explore the wilderness of Australia and their most beautiful sunrises.  But that is not all the things they have here….they have lots! Oooh look at that baby kangaroo coming out of its mums pouch. It doesn't look to be too frightened by me.

Week #31 - Althea

I was resting on some grass looking at the hazy view of daybreak.  Suddenly, I heard a car come by and interrupt me.  “Hi ma'am, do you need a ride home?” they asked.  “No, it’s ok I’m waiting for my parents,” I replied. “But do you guys have a ride home?” they asked. “No we live here, so it's ok,” I replied quickly. “Ohh you live here? Then you must see a lot of beautiful views,” they replied.  Then they left without saying goodbye. I sat there some more and prayed to the Lord that I’m thankful for the view.

Week #30 - Cooper

I had to kick the ball on the way to the game. I saw a sign that said stop, so I stopped till the road was clear. It's only 10 minutes away  and the game is in 15 minutes so I have lots of time to get there. As I walked I saw a beautiful flower . When I got there we started. The referee blew  the whistle and we went. Bob passed to me. “Ok here you go shoot shoot!!” Bob said, “ok then,” But as soon as I did the ball went into a hole! What do we do?

Week #30 - Alex

When fishing at the canal you need the right gear and you need to go at the right time. First I will tell you what time I have caught most of my big fish. So you want to be at the canal about 5:00 a.m. Take  a package of shrimp. Where to go. So if you follow the road it should lead you to a dam. My Mum caught a very good salmon there and said to Dad “It doesn’t matter what you think, does it.” because he thinks that Mum can’t fish properly. What you need is good luck.

Week #30 - Harriet

As I enter the stadium I can see lots of people and a sign saying GO BLUE TEAM. It makes me nervous! The match starts and I get the ball, I kick it into the goal and that's a win for our team. People scream and cheer. The ball comes my way, the sun blinds me and the ball kicks me in the face. But I don't give up. I  get up and run after the person with the ball. Then out of nowhere a flower pops up, I run straight into a hole. This must be my unlucky day!

Week #30 - Kiko

Done! My latest video was done. I was eager to send it. All those hours of hard work were worth it.  I hastily clicked “post”. When it was done, a comment instantly pinged on to the screen. It read “This is automatically a piece of trash. I didn’t bother watching it because it’s bound to be rubbish.” I was heartbroken.  I replied to him. “It doesn’t matter what you think, does it!?” I reported him in a flash.  The next day, I looked for the troll’s account, but I couldn’t. That means his account was deleted. “Instant karma” I thought.

Week #30 - Haimish

Today I woke up while the sun was shining brightly on my eyes. I decided to get up, grab some cereal, milk, a spoon, and a bowl while I happily chewed on my breakfast. I was happy since it was a sunny day in the middle of autumn. I went to the backyard and smelled the beautiful flower my Mum and I planted. Whilst walking to my morning exercise at the backyard I see and kick a stone, it ended up smashing into a giant sign. And making a hole I rushed to my father and told him what happened.

Week #30 - Venus

Dear Diary, It's me again. Cat. I'll tell you about a little accident that happened to me. My owner was planting flowers that looked like the sun. After she finished she put a sign up that said ”Sunflowers”. I was curious so I snuck inside. The only mysterious thing I saw was a hole big enough for me to fit in. When I looked down, a hare snuck behind me, kicked me and I fell. I should've followed rule number one of Cats. Curiosity always kills you. So it doesn't matter what you think, does it? Just follow the rules.

Week #30 - Luca

Once upon a time a boy named Luca thought his life was boring. So he wanted to go on an adventure. He was very excited, he left his home very late at night. Three hours later he managed to see a sign, but he could not read it properly. He fell down a big hole and tried to kick out, but he fell asleep. The next morning he could see the sun out of the hole. He just got out of the hole and thought his mum would be worried so he went home and got his mum a flower.

Week #30 - Liam

I was at my Granny’s house one Friday night, and I snuck to get some cookies off the shelf.  There were diamonds, rings and silver instead of cookies.  So I wanted to stay another night but my Granny said she was going out, she never goes out.  So I followed her the next night and she went to a jewellery shop and she got a tin of cabbage and tried to throw it at the window but I stopped her.  That night I found out my Granny was a Gangsta! But it doesn’t matter what I think, or does it???

Week #30 - Kayleigh

I had a really bad start to the day.  First I got into a fight with my sister and I kicked her flower!   When I got to school I looked up at the sun.   It was getting hot by now.  I kick my feet in the stones.  Then I run across the grass to my class but fall in a hole.   It’s morning tea. I ask my friends what we should play?  “I know, we should play 4 square.”  “No!” Says Tineke, “Let’s play 6 square.”  I hold up a sign saying “ It doesn't matter what you think does it ”?

Week #30 - Roaness

“It doesn’t matter what you think, does it?” said Flower. “Ok, ok,” said Rose. “But at least the sun is out in the beautiful sky.” “Hey wanna kick a hole and see how deep it can go?”said Flower. “Yea sure,” said Rose. Then the two girls went to find somewhere to kick or some where they could find holes to dig. When finally they found a hole, they also saw a water fountain. So first they went to get a drink, then they started to kick strongly. Their feet were hurting so they went home and they fell asleep.

Week #30 - Tineke

“It doesn’t matter what you think, just go away!” I heard my friend walking away quickly and crying. I thought about what I said again regretting it. I felt a big shiver go up my spine. I was afraid that no one wanted to be my friend anymore. I started running after my friend saying, “It does matter what you say, it does.” After saying that four times my friend turned around and said, “Does it?” I then said, “Yes it does! Please forgive me, you are the bestest friend ever.” My friend then said “of course I will silly!”

Week #30 - Nixie

I was walking down the road when suddenly I remembered that I was late for school! Usually, I walk to school, but because I was so late, I needed to run!  Later when I got into the busy classroom we had to do a group project about what we were learning. So, we got into our groups and we started to do some work. Suddenly, Someone blurted out,  "It doesn’t matter what you think, does it?!”  The teacher looked at who yelled that out, then he got kicked out of the class.  He had to sit outside the classroom. Crazy!

Week #29 - Haimish

CRASH A speeding car SLAMMED into my roof, during my summer afternoon. I was confused when I learned that a car somehow launched itself into my roof, when I saw it, I wondered how it crashed on my roof. Soon I ended up calling the police to help me figure out how/why a car smashed itself into my house. The police informed me that they were chasing a criminal and that was the same car they used. I was still confused, “How did it crash?” The police wondered the same thing, but the criminal did steal high tech equipment.

Week #29 - Venus

I work at St Joseph’s school as a teacher in Kea 2. It was the last day of Term one, I was walking to the staff room when I saw my car reverse! I ran out of the gate. I couldn’t see anyone driving my car! I ran and ran after my car. When it stopped at a broken street. I Knew it was trapped! It actually accelerated and ran up a ramp into a roof of a house! I climbed up and around the destruction and looked in my car. There in front of me was my dog, Rufus.

Week #29 - Gian

It was Christmas Eve and my Dad said he wanted to have a new car for Christmas. We said it was impossible for Santa to give us that. Well, he still wrote it down on his gift list! He said he wanted a grey car with five seats. Later that night we heard a loud BANG on our roof. We checked it out but there was nothing. The next morning it was Christmas. After receiving our gifts my brother and I went outside to play on our scooters, and that’s when we saw it - a grey car, IN OUR ROOF!!

Week #29 - Nixie

One day I was walking around town for fresh air when suddenly I saw a police car, an ambulance AND A CAR INSIDE A ROOF. I wonder if someone did it by accident, or tried to do a crazy stunt? I was about to take out my phone to listen to Billie Eilish when a policeman asked me to come over to him. He pointed at the car and asked, “is this your car?” and of course I said, “no”. But when I looked closer it was my car! I asked who was the person who drove? “Nika,” - my sister!!!!!

Week #29 - Kiko

Wake up in the morning, I have breakfast on my mind. Car crashed on my rooftop I’m about to lose my mind! Calling the police Saying there’s something on my roof, They think I went cuckoo, so they hang up, it’s the truth. My plan, my plan. Is to try and get it out. It won’t budge, no That car, it’s annoying! Why’d it go on the roof? Did it have to be the truth? I don’t know what to do. But still… Bad things,  There’s a lot of bad things, But is this the worst thing I have seen.

Week #29 - Noah

I guess you're wondering how I got in this situation? To explain the story better we have to go back four days ago. It was a regular morning just like any other, when suddenly a News Flash appeared saying that there is a psycho in a car driving around the city. So, I warned my parents and we locked all our doors, as well as the windows and hid. About two hours go by when suddenly we hear, crash! The house started to rumble. We heard the police sirens and immediately realised what happened. So we ran to the police.

Week #29 - Cooper

As I walked out of my house I saw a car stuck in the roof.  Mum came to look.  Mum said, “who is stuck up there, it looks a bit like grandad's car? Maybe it is, let's go have a look if it is grandad.”  “Grandad what happened?”  “Well they kind of tried to lift my car up because it had a flat tyre, but it didn't go so well so I got stuck in your roof.”  “How do we get it down? Maybe get a crane in to pull it out?”  “Yes good idea!”  The crane is here, finally!

Week #29 - Lachie

I looked out the window and saw in the neighbours roof was my Grandads car.  My Grandad was always a crazy driver. “Hello,” my Grandad said. “What are you doing?” I said.  My Grandad replied, “Just took a wrong turn”. Suddenly the police arrived and said that they would take away grandads licence because he was a reckless driver.  Did I mention that my neighbours are really mad? Grandad had the choice to fix the roof or pay for the damage. We decided for grandad to pay. It took up most of his money, so has to live with us.

Week #29 - Kayleigh

“Right time to drive.” But oh no, the trampoline is in the way of the car.  We are heading towards the ramp we built on the trampoline. “Everyone hold on to your seatbelts make sure they are on tight.”  Up goes the car, up the ramp over the house roof on to the other side of the house. “What’s that I can see? Well whatever I can see it sure is coming fast.  Oh no it’s a big gust of wind coming right for us”. The car slowly moves backwards and falls down and gets stuck in the house roof!

Week #29 - Sophia

In my neighbourhood flies a car, not an ordinary car a magic car! A beat of music was coming somewhere from the sky. I looked up and saw 3 elephants in the car. I also saw a miniature human with a flower on its head then it started talking in a squeaky voice ‘My name is Twoflowers Queen of Saturn’ came the voice. N-n-nice to meet you’ came a slow voice it sounded like a turtle. There was a large crack and down came the car straight into my bedroom! BOOM! I raced to my bedroom and found Twoflowers asleep!
